Dedicated to the memory of Vi

This site is a tribute to Vi, who was born in Guyana on August 24, 1951. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

In lieu of sending flowers, the Family suggest you leave a donation for St Ann's Hospice in Manchester.  The staff were extremely dedicated and made Vi very comfortable in her time of need.  They were also helpful to visiting friends and family members.

Thoughts

On our first day as students, Vijai stepped off the bus ahead of me & I followed her into college. So began a life-long friendship. Over the years we shared our youth, our maturity and all the major events in lfe, as good friends do. Vi showed such warmth, loyalty and generosity of spirit towards everyone. She was wise and consistent with her family and her friends - always welcoming in her heart and in her home. And, as all our dearest friendships do, she made time to enjoy the warmth & bond we shared in the moment. As in life, we will always treasure Vijai's friendship and be stronger for it. We will miss her very much, her wise counsel, her common sense, delivered in the belief that friends were also 'family'. We will smile at the memory of Vijai and keep her with us, to soothe the hurt of her parting. Lesley, Rick & Joshua

Nadia your mum was such a special person to so many people. I will miss our long chats and laughs. She was probably the most loving and caring person I have ever met with a larger than life heart and I know that I am a much better person for having known her. My thoughts and love are with you and your family. Megan XXX
